So many projects, so little time. I'm incredibly guilty of starting multiple projects with great enthusiasm and then moving on to another when I spy a great project in a magazine I just 'have' to start right away. I also have a sketchbook full of ideas that never make it off the page and in to something 'real'. Some projects are never even noted down, destined to spend an eternity floating around in my head!
I'm finally finishing off a few ongoing projects... these two are what I've been working on this week:
1. Crocheting a chunky cowl from a pattern in Simply Crochet... using a 12mm hook for the first time is a little challenging, it's huge! I started this early last week, and it's going well so far. I do love the faux knitted cable stitch.
2. A handmade notebook based on a project from Granny Chic. I stitched together a bundle of cartridge paper, and made the cover from some leftover wallpaper samples kicking around from when we decorated last month. I added a ribbon to the spine to tie it up, and make it look sweet. This week I embroidered 'ideas' to the front. This will be my little travel notebook to stay in my bag to catch all those floating ideas when I'm
And I just love love LOVE my new Orla Kiely pencils that I treated myself to over Christmas.
They're beautiful don't you think?
xx
